FIND AN

EXECUTIVE COACH

Calling all school leaders! Have you ever wanted to work with a personal leadership coach? An executive leadership coach is wholeheartedly committed to empowering you to become the leader you want to be.

If you are a full-time, Seventh-day Adventist principal with more than two years of experience as a leader, you are eligible to receive executive coaching from an ACE Academy coach at no cost to you.

What Is

Executive

Coaching?

Executive coaching facilitates the growth of school leaders by providing dedicated time and a supportive environment for reflection, planning, and accountability. In this confidential and judgment-free space, leaders can address challenges, collaborate on strategies, and work with a committed thought partner to enhance their effectiveness and growth in their leadership roles.

COACHING EMPOWERS LEADERS TO:

  • Lead from their strengths
  • Manage their growth areas and blind spots
  • Hone decision-making skills
  • Become more intentional and strategic
  • Adapt and respond to the needs of their team
  • Develop an equitable and culturally responsive mindset
Check out our Portrait of an Executive Coach for more on what a coach can do for you.

An executive coaching engagement typically starts with a reflection on the leader’s strengths, growth areas, vision and personal goals. The coach then engages the leader in monthly one-on-one coaching conversations that empower the leader to cultivate new perspectives, skills and leadership behaviors.

Executive coaching is distinctly different from formal job training, mentoring, consulting and performance management. Executive coaches are not mentors that tell leaders how to do their job. Instead–through one-on-one coaching sessions–a coach asks questions that help the leader discover new possibilities and develop solutions that will work for the leader’s unique circumstances and personality.

A coach serves as a thought partner during the leader’s toughest moments, and an accountability partner to keep that leader on their path to greatness. Through this collaborative and personalized approach to leadership development, leaders and their schools will achieve more than they thought possible.

“I cannot think of a single elite athlete who made it without a coach. The same should hold true in educational leadership.”

Brian Kittleson
Associate Superintendent

Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists
